Hi! My name is Keane Pimentel and I am a senior mechanical engineering student at UNLV. My passion for space ignited when I watched The Martian in high school. I was hooked as I watched Mark Watney “science the shit out of this” and the JPL team scramble to bring him home. Since then, my passion for space exploration and engineering has only grown and I look forward to applying my skills and solving tough problems.
In addition to being a student, I am also an active member and former Vice President (2021-2022) of the Students for the Exploration and Development of Space (SEDS) chapter at UNLV. I was also the thermal simulations lead for the RebelSat-1 project at UNLV. Currently, I am at NASA’s Ames Research Center as a Rotorcraft Aeromechanics Intern. Feel free to look through my projects and let me know if you have any questions!
**Currently in the process of adding projects!
